Job Title: Service Center Manager
Department: Veteran Affairs
Reports To: Director
Position Summary:
Primary duties include providing operational and facility oversite to the director and leadership members in the setup and operational decisions of the assigned service center to include but not limited to meeting with and speaking with veterans/members on location of veteran’s homes, staff members of VA medical facilities, and to interact as needed with members of the VA support team of American Access.
This would include the ability of the service center to accurately receive shipments and misc. inventory items via proper docks, ground levels, etc. as required.
This position requires an individual who works with independence and initiative, but also at times may be required to display sound judgment in accomplishing the varied needs assigned. Attention to detail, accuracy, and sensitivity to confidential information in addition to written and oral communication, and time management skills are necessary.
Responsibilities and Duties (though not all inclusive)
- Overseeing and holding accountable staff members of administration, warehousing and installation of products.
- Coordinating support and oversite of routine maintenance and repairs for both facilities and vehicles of the service center.
- Ensure training of all staff members on safety and inventory accountability.
- Ensure assignments and accountable actions of evaluators/installers.
- Evaluate overall performance by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data and metrics as requested and or directed by the Director and or other leadership members.
- Ensure the center operates with legality and conformity to established regulations of their respective areas.
- Ensure quality, safe and timely installed units of equipment. (Ramps, grab bars, etc.)
- Ensure proper care and condition of company vehicles.
- Ensure proper care and condition of company tools.
Minimum Qualified Requirements
- High School and or GED.
- Two or more years of experience leading, developing and or overseeing a team.
- Exceptionally strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated creativity, flexibility and comfort working with diverse population.
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift and or carry 45 lbs or more.
- Physically able to perform tasks to include times of physical labor requiring assisting team members with installations and or removals as deemed necessary.
