Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required; Associate or Technical degree preferred
- Preferred 1 years experience in custom metal fabrication industry and an understanding of manufacturing processes
- Excellent blue print reading skills
- Experience with or ability to learn SolidWorks, DXF, DWG and PDF software
- Strong math skills
- Proficient computer skills in a Windows environment, particularly with the use of MS Excel
- Ability to analyze and multitask, with a strong mechanical aptitude and critical thinking skills
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and quickly under the pressure of tight deadlines while managing multiple priorities

- Review and evaluate Requests for Estimates
- Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, material and labor estimates
- Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects or services
- Track actual costs relative to bid as project develops
- Consult with customers, vendors and team members in other departments to discuss and formulate estimates while resolving issues as needed
- Review material and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components
- Set up cost monitoring, reporting systems and procedures
- Use of Microsoft Excel, Solid Works, DWG, DXF
- Travel to customer facilities or jobsites as needed
- Other job duties as assigned
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $31.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
