Midway University is seeking a Dean of the School of Health Sciences which includes the?Departments of Nursing and Health Care Administration. We are seeking someone to lead in a future-focused, fast-paced, student-centered environment. Reporting to the Vice President for Academic Affairs and working closely with the faculty and staff from all areas of the University, the Dean will have significant impact on the direction of the school.
The Dean must be visionary, innovative, data driven, attentive to detail, and knowledgeable of current trends in education and healthcare. The Dean will work collaboratively with the faculty on curriculum, teaching, advising, scholarship with students, service, admissions of new students, and accreditation.? The Dean manages the day-to-day operations of the school and oversees all aspects of the nursing and healthcare degree programs. ? In addition, the Dean must maintain current partnerships and develop new partnerships for both programs on campus and in the community.? The Dean will need to have a keen understanding of the history of the Nursing Program at Midway University, creating an environment for maintaining its high standards and success.
Qualifications
Must hold a doctorate in nursing and an unencumbered, active license or be eligible for licensure in Kentucky. At least five years in an administrative capacity at the department level or above in higher education, and a record of program development, fiscal and personnel management, and effective teaching are required. Prior experience with accreditation is also required. Salary is commensurate with experience. Rank is open. The start date is negotiable but is no later than June 1, 2025.
