The University of Iowa College of Nursing is currently recruiting faculty for a 100% effort to establish and lead an Office of Teaching and Learning within the college to enhance leadership in nursing education among the faculty. Faculty are committed to designing and implementing curricula in which students develop critical thinking, decision-making skills, clinical judgment, cultural sensitivity, and professional nursing values in an increasingly complex health care system. We desire a strong leader who will develop programs to prepare and evaluate faculty; lead scholarship; and collaborate with faculty to secure external, programmatic funding in teaching and learning.

The individual selected will have a passion and complementary skill set to promote teaching and learning among all faculty within the college and will be required to be in person to teach and collaborate with students and other faculty. Appointment for this position may be clinical or tenure track. A successful candidate will hold the Kelting Professorship.
Successful candidates will be required to self-disclose any misconduct history or pending research misconduct investigation including but not limited to sexual misconduct in prior employment and provide a related release and will be subject to a criminal background and credential check.

Required Education & Qualifications
- Earned doctorate in nursing or a doctorate in a related field with a degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing
- Current or eligible licensure as a Registered Nurse
- Selected candidate must complete the State of Iowa Registered Nurse licensure prior to appointment
- Acknowledged record of service and teaching success in a school or college of nursing
- Evidence of professional productivity consisting of publications and scholarly presentations on teaching and learning
- Strong evaluation skills
- Professional leadership in nursing education
- Continued scholarly achievement of high quality, accompanied by unmistakable evidence of national and international recognition as a scholar.
- Consistent record of high-quality teaching at all appropriate instructional levels, including successful guidance of doctoral graduate students to the completion of their degree programs.
