Position Overview
- 12-month position as the DNS's academic and administrative leader and chair.
- This role requires an individual eligible for a tenured appointment.
- The endowed chair position involves advancing the DNS through strategic initiatives, academic leadership and scholarly activities, mentorship and resource development, and institutional and community representation. This individual will work collaboratively with the program directors and chairs across campus departments.
- Possess or be eligible to obtain nursing licensure in Indiana
- Doctoral-level degree (PhD, EdD, or DNP) is required. APRN is preferred. If the doctoral degree is in a field other than nursing, a master’s degree in nursing is required. APRN candidates must have a board certification with current clinical practice experience
- Demonstrated experience or evidence in
- nursing education at both undergraduate and graduate levels
- leadership in academic settings
- mentoring faculty, program development, implementing evidence-based teaching methods, and using the latest technology
- scholarly contributions that meet the standards for a tenured appointment
