American Bancshares Mortgages is seeking a dilligent and resourceful Human Resources Assistant to be responsible for leading various human resources functions for a fast-paced and high-performing mortgage lender. As the Human Resources Assistant, you will be the main liaison between our outsourced HR Service Provider and our operations team.
Job Duties:
- Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
- Performs as main point of contact/liaison for our outsourced human resources service provider.
- Manages communication with incoming new hires in process of Onboarding.
- Manages Labor law updates and postings.
- Manages Handbooks updates.
- Coordinates in-person interviews for potential candidates.
- Oversees and facilitates new hire orientation.
- Manages employee records and filings.
- Reviews payroll and commission payouts for approval
- Coordinates and documents disciplinary actions and exit interviews.
- Manages the relationship with benefits broker.
- Conducts various research projects and/or special projects.
- Plans, coordinates, and facilitates company special events, conferences, and/or workshops.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree required; Bachelor's degree in human resources preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of previous HR experience, including payroll.
- Experience in mortgage banking preferred.
- Paycom experience preferred.
