A Universal Banker requires a very careful adherence to well-defined work where repeatable results are needed. There is little ambiguity in this position. Interacting with customers requires a professional, formal manner where the focus is on completing the task pleasantly and correctly.


We are currently seeking qualified applicants to work as a Universal Banker at our Colorado Springs Banking Center in Colorado Springs, CO. (M-F 8:30am-4:30pm)

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Provides exceptional customer service by positive customer interaction and punctual responses to customer calls and inquiries.
  2. Actively listens to customers’ needs to provide appropriate products and services.
  3. Open accounts and cross sell products and services making referrals as needed to other departments.
  4. Ability to complete all teller transactions.
  5. Performs lending assistant duties for consumer and mortgage lenders.
  6. Interview loan applicants to obtain personal and financial data, and to assist in completing applications.
  7. Order property insurance or other insurance policies to ensure protection against loss on property.
  8. Keeps informed on current portfolio and follows current loans to ensure compliance with terms.
  9. Make customer calls for potential or existing customers to develop new business and increase or retain existing business.
  10. Debt Collection
  11. Contact credit bureaus, employers, and other sources to check applicants' credit and personal references
  12. Complete loan records and send to loan admin for imaging
  13. Present loan and repayment schedules to customers
  14. Review customer accounts to determine whether payments are made on time and that other loan terms are being followed.
  15. Schedule and conduct loan closings.
  16. Submit loan applications.
  17. Verify and examine information and accuracy of loan application and closing documents.
  18. Prepare responses to correspondence as directed by loan officer.
  19. Help to achieve targeted growth in retail deposits, loans, and households for assigned banking center.
  20. Build and maintain customer relationships striving to become a trusted advisor to both customers and prospects.
  21. Meet and exceed performance goals and objectives both individually and for assigned banking center.
  22. Maintain thorough knowledge of all ABC products and services.
  23. Participate in Bank at Work programs.
  24. Participate in branch promotions and sales initiatives.
  25. Make customer calls on existing portfolio and new prospects.
  26. Partner with Business Bankers to make joint calls on customers to offer a full range of ABC commercial and consumer products and services.
  27. Maintain compliance and adhere to all relevant security responsibilities as outlined in the Bank’s Information Security Program.
  28. Maintain branch CRA file.
  29. Maintain branch Business Continuity Plan.
  30. Comply with federal, state and company policies, procedures, laws, and regulations.
  31. Facilities management responsibilities, works with vendors to maintain branch, unless otherwise assigned.
  32. Other duties as assigned by management.
  33. Adhere to all relevant security responsibilities as outlined in the Bank's Information Security Program and Written Security Program.
