What are the responsibilities and job description for the Loan Operations Support Specialist position at American Bank?
Responsible for loan maintenance on Commercial, Consumer, and Residential loans; responsible for daily indexing documents electronically; and responsible for processing loan and credit card payments. Provide support for Loan Operations in areas as needed.
Responsibilities:
1. Update insurance policies on active loans booked.
2. Scan and index insurance policies received by mail, fax, and email daily.
3. Prepare and index loan files as well as document tracking on new loans.
4. Process daily loan payments and credit card payments.
5. Assist other Loan Operations personnel with following up on flood policies for proper coverage.
6. Responsible for record retention in the Loan Operations department. Ensure files, paperwork, and archived information is recorded and warehoused for destruction.
7. Maintain a good understanding and working knowledge relating to bank compliance regulations, Bank policies and procedures, including related Bank Secrecy Act to ensure regulatory compliance.
Additional Requirements:
Prior banking experience is preferred.
While the incumbent must work closely with all members of the organization, he or she is expected to work with a strong degree of initiative and independence regarding assigned responsibilities.
Organizational skills, effective interpersonal skills, and a strong work ethic are also necessary to effectively carry out assigned responsibilities.
The incumbent must also demonstrate the ability and willingness to accept changing priorities and assume different or additional responsibilities based on the needs of the organization.
