Peak Performers has partnered with a US energy company to assist in their search for an Operations Support Specialist. In this contract position, you will ensure the safe and efficient execution of electrical outage planning, crew dispatch, and system coordination. This role involves preparing and reviewing switch orders, submitting outage requests, and interpreting electrical schematics to facilitate compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Major Duties
*
Plan and submit outage requests for electrical zones of protection in substation and distribution systems.
*
Prepare and review switch orders to ensure compliance with safety tagging and LOTO procedures.
*
Compile, track, and distribute outage request information to project stakeholders.
*
Interpret electrical one-line diagrams and schematics to support safe and efficient outage planning.
*
Serve as a dispatcher when required.
*
Coordinate activities with Distribution and Transmission system operators to ensure the safe and effective use of resources.
*
Interact with the 911 centers in a professional manner and ensure all required information is transmitted between the parties.
*
Experience with outage planning and electrical switching procedures
*
Understanding of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and safety tagging
*
Proficiency in dispatching and coordinating field operations
*
Familiarity with system operations and outage management tools
*
Strong organizational skills to compile, track, and distribute outage requests
*
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
*
Proficiency in data entry and administrative functions
*
Willingness to work rotating shifts if needed
About this position

Rate: $32.44- $41.90/hour
*
Days/ Hours: Monday-Friday
*
Contract Length: 12 months
*
