Basic Job Functions:
American Buildings - Illinois is seeking qualified applicants for the position of General Receiver. Responsibilities for the General Receiver include but are not limited to:
- Safely receiving and staging metal building components, as needed to support production teams.
- Supporting all material handling, housekeeping, product flow and schedule efforts.
- Operating the machinery and material handling equipment required to perform these functions including, but not limited to forklifts and overhead cranes.
- Performing within a group in a way that encourages solid teamwork and a productive work environment.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Preferences:
- Prior forklift and/or crane operation experience.
- Strong knowledge of logistics.
