Job Summary
The Receiver I position is responsible for tracking incoming loads, receiving unloaded material, and ensuring received shipments are accurate per customer order. This position will be on their feet, bending and squatting for most of the day. The Receiver I plays a key role in customer communication, load planning and inventory record accuracy. The Receiver I is responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work area.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain database by logging daily activities to ensure bills of lading are routed correctly.
- Manage inventory in software/database to ensure proof of delivery.
- Ensure orders are received accurately and per customer standards.
- Notify carriers of outbound loads and logs shipments.
- Scan material with handheld scanner.
- Prepare routine reports.
- Work efficiently to achieve or exceed performance targets for velocity, quality and cost.
- Understand and follow all ISO and 5S initiatives.
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve department and company goals.
- Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/ skill.
- Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures and reports all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Intermediate computer skills, Microsoft Word (including: Email, Excel, and Routine Database Activity etc.).
- Strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Minimum of one year of experience shipping material.
- Minimum of one year of experience in third-party logistics (3PL) environment.

Shift: 1st Shift | 7:00AM - 3:30PM
Pay Range: $15-$17 /HR
