Summary:  This position provides overarching support activities for the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP) and its 900 centers, including management of the general MBSAQIP email and main telephone number.  The position plays a key role in hosting meetings for MBSAQIP.  Key functions include providing interpretation and guidance regarding program standards, assisting with the management of designation level changes, administrative program changes, off-cycle surgeon verification, data registry access inquiries, data abstractor (MBSCR) onboarding, and ongoing training, and other support to the MBSAQIP team associated with site visit cycle activities.

This non-exempt position will report to the Program Manager, MBSAQIP in the Division of Research and Optimal Patient Care. It is based in our Chicago office and is a hybrid role: 3 days per week in the office/2 days per week remote.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $50,600 - $53,000 (paid hourly, commensurate with related experience).

Required Education and/or Experience:

  • Associate’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university is required.

  • At least 2 years of experience in an administrative or customer service role is preferred.

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat. The ability to learn new software is essential.

  • The ability to prioritize workload and time management skills are required.
