POSITION SUMMARY
American Computer Development Inc. (ACDI) has an opportunity for a Plant Manager at our facility in Frederick, Maryland. The Plant Manager responsibilities include but not limited to, overseeing, and coordinating all aspects of operations which includes, managing the production schedule, product quality, facility capabilities, capacity, and manpower. The Plant Manager reports directly to the VP of Operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Oversee all operations for the electronic contract manufacturing plant, including Program Management, Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, and Production departments.
- Direct and coordinate activities of all production operations including SMT/Through-hole PWB assembly, electromechanical, box build, wire harness/cable, final assembly integration and testing
- Direct overall management of inventory operations including shipping/receiving, stockroom, kitting, work order processing, cycle counting.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels and inventory turns aligned with corporate goals.
- Maintain existing quality management certifications, and support efforts to obtain new certifications
- Coordinate efforts to achieve corporate driven quality objectives
- Ensure quality of all production operations meet customer and internal standards, implement necessary corrective/ preventive measures as required
- Facilitate business development for plant, including supporting new sales efforts and inter-company transition work
- Ensure direct/indirect staffing objectives are met to support current and anticipated revenue objectives
- Establish performance standards for all personnel, measure progress, communicate results
- Provide coaching/supervision/training for all personnel
- Ensure capital equipment objectives are in place to meet current and anticipated business goals
- Coordinate efforts to meet corporate operational profitability targets
- Drive continuous improvement efforts across all departments
- Define realistic and accurate monthly revenue projections to corporate and achieve targets
SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

- 3-5 Years Management Experience in a manufacturing environment, electronics manufacturing experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A or B.S) from a four-year College or University is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Experience working in a MRP / ERP system
REQUIRED/PREFERRED SKILLS
- Must have thorough knowledge of all aspects of electronics assembly
- Must have solid knowledge of Quality Management System (AS9100 and ISO 9001 experience preferred)
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint)
- Basic Knowledge of Labor Laws and OSHA requirements
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must have excellent leadership and coaching skills
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize effectively.

Salary : $150,000 - $180,000
