Overview
The American Contract Bridge League (ACBL) has an immediate opening for Tournament Administration Coordinator. The Tournament Administration Coordinator provides tournament-related support and information to our Units, Districts, volunteers, tournament directors, and other staff. The ideal candidate will possess a customer-service approach, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and timely follow-up.
Responsibilities
- Receives and approves tournament sanction requests from Units and Districts via TourneyTRAX; verifies all information and checks for scheduling conflicts before approving. Communicates and resolves any scheduling conflicts with the requesting Unit/Districts.
- Creates tournament sanctions (in TourneyTRAX) for NAP and GNT District Finals upon receipt of District Conditions of Contest.
- Receives and processes applications for Unit Games.
- Works closely with other members of the Bridge Operations team.
- Responds to questions about tournament sanctioning, planning, advertising, and promotion.
- Responds to questions about Unit changes (dissolution, additions, transfers).
- Scans updated Unit bylaws and maintains electronic records.
- Reviews submitted tournament flyers for accuracy and compliance with ACBL regulations. Advises appropriate director to review the schedule and enter the events in TourneyTRAX.
- Assist Members with questions concerning tournament results, TourneyTRAX, and general Bridge questions.
- Directs member questions to appropriate internal partners (Club and Member Services, Accounting, etc.) as appropriate.
- Acts as backup to other members of the Bridge Operations team as necessary.
- Regularly uses Microsoft Teams (email, calls) and TourneyTRAX application to perform job duties.
- Writes and maintains standard operating procedures.
- Performs other duties as requested.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED
Intermediate to advanced skills in TourneyTRAX
Intermediate knowledge of scheduling and planning
Knowledge of acbl.org with ability to quickly find needed on-line tools and resources
Intermediate skill in Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel
Demonstrated ability to read, write, and speak English
Candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment drug and background screen
Candidates must provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
