Panel Finisher Job Description
American Cooler Technologies is a commercial walk-in cooler/freezer manufacturer that supplies restaurants, breweries, convenience stores, grocery stores, florists, mortuaries, and more, with the cold storage solutions they need. We pride ourselves on our ability to custom design unique applications. We also provide insulated panel systems for nearly every temperature environment. We are looking for a qualified individual to fill or assist various positions on the production floor.
Job Specifications:
- 40 Hour work week with paid lunches
- 1st shift 6:00a-2:00 M-F
- $14 - $15/hourly rate starting depending on experience
This position will pull the appropriate size panel, conduct a quality check, apply carpet or velcro, conduct another quality check and clean up any excess foam, glue, carpet, velcro, etc..
The successful candidate will also possess the following traits:
- Proficient in using a tape measure and reading measurements to 1/16”
- Employ safe lifting techniques and capable of lifting 50 lbs or more, periodically.
- Capable of being on feet for 8-10 hours daily
- Competent in interpersonal communication skills to interact with fellow co-workers
- Possess the ability to stay motivated to complete given tasks without extensive supervision
- Ability to safely apply glue and use carpet cutting blades
Candidates possessing the following skills will be given preference over other candidates:
- Skilled in the use of various power & manual tools to manipulate wood while practicing proper safety techniques (EX.: table saw, miter saw, staple & nail guns, drills, carpet knives, clamps, hammer, etc…)
- Efficient in basic math skills, and computing basic functions.
- Analyze and Interpret CAD drawings to create various parts and panels.
Education / Training / Experience:
- High School graduate preferred but not required
- Rough carpentry experience is preferred but not required
- Carpet installation experience is preferred but not required
- Forklift experience is preferred but not required
