Job Description
We have an exciting job opportunity that encompasses job responsibilities in both the Warehouse and Shred Department. This is a temporary to hire position. Hours are Monday – Friday approximately 8 am-5 pm. We are looking for an individual that is self-motivated, learns quickly, detail-oriented, and a team player. This position has many responsibilities and is a vital asset to both the Warehouse and Shred Management Teams.
The primary function of this position will be to process delivery, destruction, and access work orders and help with document destruction and special projects. You must have a valid driver’s license and a Motor Vehicle Record in good standing. In addition, you must be able to pass a criminal background check and a drug screen urinalysis.
Some of your responsibilities/expectations for the Warehouse include (but not limited to):
American Document Services manages files, film, tapes, and personal documents for over 1,700 clients. We also destroy over 120,000 pounds of paper monthly of customer information that could lead to identity theft. All paper destruction is recycled to help protect the environment. American Document Services is the leader in destroying protected health information (PHI) and complies with all Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and HITECH. American Document Services is NAID AAA Certified and PRISM Privacy Certified.
American Document Services manages files, film, tapes, and personal documents for over 1,700 clients. We also destroy over 120,000 pounds of paper monthly of customer information that could lead to identity theft. All paper destruction is recycled to help protect the environment. Some of your responsibilities/expectations for the Warehouse include (but not limited to):
- Strong attention to detail
- Communicating effectively with team members
- Accurately retrieve documents from containers stored in our warehouses
- Use of a scanner to refile documents and work exception lists
- Lift, stack, load and move containers
- Be able to use a scissor- lift & a fork-lift and retrieve containers out of reach
- Be able to climb stairs and lift-up to 70 pounds
- Work on your feet all day
- Observe and comply with all security and safety procedures
- Complete all training in a timely fashion
- Ability to lift heavy bags, push rolling carts and pull two and four wheeled containers
