Job Goal:
Participates in warehouse activities including receipt, storage, inventory management and delivery of materials and equipment; assists in basic technical processes to support other technicians including prep of surplus equipment, imaging computers and troubleshooting physical network (wiring). Possibility of moving into Warehouse Technician II based on work and evaluations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintains record of the receipt, storage, transfer, inventory and delivery of technology warehouse supplies and equipment.
Coordinates large delivery schedules with shipper.
Assists in maintaining accurate inventory records by conduction classroom inventory audits.
Organizes stocks and performs physical inventories of technology warehouse supplies and equipment.
Completes imaging of new computer equipment to prepare for installation.
Destroys existing data from all hard drives identified for auction or disassembled for parts recovery.
Troubleshoots physical network wiring connections to determine point of failure.
Performs related duties as assigned.

Methods techniques and terminology used in warehousing, inventory, shipping and receiving.

Remain current with technical developments in the are of warehousing and logistics related activities.
Operate a vehicle observing legal and defensive driving practices.
Operate a computer workstation.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; experience in warehouse operations preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole
numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized
situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Valid driver’s license and driving record acceptable to the District for insurance purpose.
