The EconLit Editorial Assistant helps to compile bibliographic citations with abstracts for journal articles, books, collective volumes, working papers, and Ph.D. dissertations.
This is an on-site position in Pittsburgh, PA. Only those currently residing in or moving to Pittsburgh should apply. We have both full-time and part-time positions available. The listed employee benefits apply to full-time work only.
Responsibilities
- Processing books or journals for inclusion in the database.
- Data entry.
- Proofreading.
- Contacting publishers to obtain materials needed for database entry.
- Logging production status.
- Other duties as required.
The mission of the AEA is to encourage economic research, publish on economic subjects, and encourage freedom of economic discussion. The spirit of these objectives has been maintained throughout the Association's existence over 130 years.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree completed or working toward bachelor's
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Foreign language study, a plus
Work Environment
The AEA Publications office is located on Pittsburgh's South Side. It is a professional, relaxed, and collaborative atmosphere.

Pay: $19.19 per hour
