Job Summary
The Concrete Foreman will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the daily activities of concrete crews engaged in all aspects of flatwork and hand-formed concrete installations, including D curbs, sidewalks, and slab work. This role requires hands-on leadership, strong technical knowledge, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a crew in the construction of concrete structures such as D curbs, sidewalks, ramps, and flatwork for apartment complex site development.
- Interpret blueprints, project plans, and specifications to ensure accurate layout and construction.
- Coordinate material deliveries and ensure proper usage and storage on site.
- Monitor crew productivity and work quality; provide training and mentorship as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies at all times.
- Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors to meet project deadlines.
- Maintain daily logs and reports; communicate job progress, challenges, and needs.
- Troubleshoot issues in the field and implement effective solutions.
- Conduct inspections to verify proper formwork, placement, finishing, and curing of concrete.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in concrete construction, including hand forming, curb and gutter (D curb), sidewalks, and slab/flatwork.
- At least 2 years of supervisory or foreman-level experience.
- Proven experience on site development or horizontal construction projects—preferably multifamily/apartment complexes.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and safety-focused.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
