The Concrete Foreman will be responsible for directing and supervising all activities related to concrete pouring, forming, finishing, and curing within the scope of water/wastewater infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, lead, and coordinate the activities of a concrete crew on construction sites for water/wastewater systems, ensuring work is completed efficiently and safely.
- Plan and schedule concrete pouring and finishing activities, ensuring proper materials, equipment, and labor are available.
- Review project specifications and blueprints to ensure proper concrete installation in line with design requirements.
- Oversee the proper preparation and execution of concrete forms, footings, slabs, walls, and other structures specific to water/wastewater construction.
- Ensure all work meets safety, quality, and regulatory standards in compliance with company policies and OSHA guidelines.
- Conduct regular safety meetings, ensuring the crew understands safety protocols and environmental regulations.
- Perform quality control inspections of concrete placement and finishing to ensure it meets design and structural integrity requirements.
- Manage and maintain concrete equipment, tools, and machinery, ensuring they are in safe working condition.
- Track project progress and provide regular updates to project managers and supervisors regarding timelines, material needs, and crew performance.
- Train and mentor new crew members, providing guidance and support to improve team skills and productivity.
- Collaborate with other trades and departments to ensure smooth project coordination and timely project completion.
- Ensure proper concrete curing processes are followed to achieve optimal results and longevity.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; further education or certification in construction or related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in concrete construction, with at least 3 years of experience in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of concrete techniques, including forming, pouring, finishing, and curing for water/wastewater applications.
- Previous experience in water/wastewater construction projects is highly preferred.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and project documents.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced work environment.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.
