The Physical Demand Level for this job is: S – Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently. (Frequently: activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Job Description
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Research benefit plan trends and analyze data to maintain competitiveness.
- Assist in the development of new plan designs to enhance functionality and employee service.
- Recommend administrative controls and maintain records to manage plan costs.
- Analyze program changes and communicate impacts to management.
- Create effective communications to promote Total Rewards and engage employees.
- Actively manage total rewards vendors for effective delivery on employee and organizational needs
- Evaluate positions for market competitive pay and compliance with laws.
- Consult on compensation matters to execute pay consistent with compensation philosophy.
- Coordinate participation in external compensation surveys and analyze results.
- Lead employee recognition programs and support compensation planning.
- Conduct audits to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Lead and or assist in executing special projects.
- Stay updated on Total Rewards trends and their potential impact on the company.
- Compile information and testimony in support of regulatory proceedings.
Education requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Management, Insurance, Economics, or other related field; or
- Associate's Degree with two (2) years of HR experience; or
- High school diploma or GED with four (4) years of HR experience.
- Minimum of four (4) years of HR experience to include two (2) years of benefits or compensation plan design experience, in addition to any experience identified above.
- Expert technical knowledge and analytical skills in the use of spreadsheet, database, and word processing software required.
- Knowledge of ERISA and various wage and hour laws.
- Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) or Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) designation preferred.
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
