POSITION SUMMARY
The Associate Director, Integration is a member of the Office of Technology Innovation responsible for developing and maintaining an application integration architecture blueprint for the organization. The Associate Director will be expected to plan, manage and execute all activities related to the integration of software programs, applications and third-party solutions as required to meet our business requirements. Oversee testing of the interoperability of application modules under development by in-house software development teams, commercial off-the-shelf software deployed in the organization and with external third parties as necessary. The ideal candidate will have proven communication skills, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of integration best practices.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops and maintains an integration architecture blueprint for the organization.
- Plans, executes, and manages the integration of new applications into existing systems and software throughout the enterprise.
- Plans, executes, and manages new application integration technology into the existing AI environment.
- Ensures that integration projects meet business requirements and goals, and fulfill end-user requirements.
- Develops standards and processes to improve and support integration projects and initiatives.
- Researches and make recommendations on integration products and services in support of procurement and development efforts.
- Leads integration testing phase of software and applications under development in order to identify and remedy potential problem areas.
- Liaise with software developers and engineers to address issues in program logic and the interoperability of new applications with existing systems software.
- Builds relationships with vendors of application software deployed in AEF’s information technology environment to learn about and provide feedback on their technical integration capabilities.
- Ensures the collection and coherent interpretation of the various business processes affected by integration efforts.
- Performs other information technology support tasks, projects, and duties as may be required from time to time as directed by Director, Data & Integration.
Qualifications
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, computer engineering or related field, or relevant experience required
- 2 or more years of experience in computer engineering or related field
- Certifications preferred:
- Boomi Professional Integration Developer Certification
- Boomi Professional API Design Certification
- Associate Event Streams
- Associate Administrator Certification
- Proven, hands-on experience with automated integration tools, with a strong preference for Boomi; expertise in alternative platforms such as Mulesoft or Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) is also desirable
- Understanding and direct experience in enterprise-level application integration preferred
- Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping, methodology development, and data mapping
- Strong background in risk management methodologies as they relate to integration/software engineering
- Proven project management skills, or substantial exposure to project-based work structures, project lifecycle models, etc.
- Confidence and experience with Communication and Security protocols and schemas such as SOAP, REST, HTTPS, Oauth, JWT
- Competency with XML, CSV, JSON
- Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
