POSITION SUMMARY
The Associate II, Financial Operations is responsible for reconciling Donor Advised Fund (DAF) investment accounts and preparing digital statements on a quarterly basis, as well as reviewing transactions within those investment accounts daily to ensure AEF’s internal accounting software aligns with the investment accounts. Other duties include the processing of closed accounts and DAFs.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review and resolve account balances daily to confirm account status.
- Identify new or additional money in investment account.
- Identify unprocessed withdrawals from the investment account and prepare statements.
- Track and reconcile final account balances of closing investment accounts and DAFs, including but not limited to liquidity accounts.
- Track and recognize investment account activity by assisting in identification of gifts and account transfers to the investment account and confirm process transfer requests, as appropriate.
- Other accounting, financial or administrative tasks may be occasionally required as assigned by the Associate Director, Reconciliation.
Qualifications
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred
- 3 or more years of experience
- Intermediate accounting skills, with accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred
- Basic understanding of personal finance and investment industries preferred
- Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness
- Critical thinking for problem-solving and implementing process improvements
- Ability to work in an organized manner, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams)
