POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Associate, Fund Administration role supports the Associate Director II, Fund Administration in carrying out the responsibilities of the Fund Administration Team in the Operations Department. This elevated position is responsible for assigning workload, addressing more complex DAF applications and paperwork, resolving escalated issues, and conducting quality control on the account opening process. The Senior Associate will coordinate project work assigned to the team, may be recognized as the subject matter expert in specific systems, and will be asked to test revisions to the system and provide feedback. This role is instrumental in maintaining and improving delivery of internal and external service level agreements.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the Associate Director II, Fund Administration in meeting department goals by serving as the primary resource for the Associate II, Fund Administration team members, ensuring accurate and timely opening of funds and processing of investment paperwork.
- Manage team workload through DAF application assignment.
- Work as a primary liaison between the Office of Business Development and Office of Business Oversight teams to ensure collaboration and communication on opening and maintenance of funds.
- Provide a best-in-class service by answering and responding to more complex inquiries from financial professionals and associates Accountable for meeting service level expectations on the resolution of issues assigned to this team through Salesforce (CRM) cases.
- Understand, research, analyze, and address issues related to opening funds and processing investment paperwork, including coordination with other departments and advisors.
- Oversee the shared inbox and provide timely responses to stakeholders upon completion of task(s).
- Train new team members and educate team members on new systems and processes.
- Review policies and procedures in the opening of funds and processing of account paperwork to assess efficiency of operations and make recommendations based on findings.
- Prepare and present reports as requested by the Associate Director II, Fund Administration and/or Senior Director, Operations.
- Coordinate, plan, and complete other duties and projects assigned by the Associate Director II, Fund Administration.
Qualifications
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or another business-related field required
- 3 or more years of experience in personal finance and investment industries preferred
- Organized, detail-oriented, and strong problem-solving skills
- Intermediate Microsoft Suites (Excel, Office and PowerPoint)
- Experience in data-entry and working in a CRM
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize high work volume in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing quality or efficiency
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with multiple teams and individuals at various levels
- Strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
