American Well Services is located in Midland, TX and provides well service rigs for the purpose of workover or completion operations. Position Overview:
Floorhands will assist with set up and take down of equipment on the drilling rig. In this role, the job duties include gathering, handling, and sorting tools, pipes, and other materials that aid in the rig’s operations.
Responsibilities:

Assists in removing or installing well head and associated equipment

Lifts, attaches, installs, and works with matting boards, tubing, rods, casing and associated well equipment such as rod strippers, polish rods and pumps

Operates rod wrenches, tongs, elevators and other associated rig tools and equipment during well servicing operations.

Assists with spooling or unspooling guy lines, placing and operating hydraulic jacks, and placing of emergency and safety gear.

Responsible for maintenance of tubing, rod tongs and hand tools on the rig.

Follows and supports all AWS HSE policies at all times.

Knows and uses appropriate PPE at all times.

Drives company vehicles over various types of road conditions and terrain, including highways, rural roads including paved and gravel surfaces, and off road situations including two track roads.

Washes and maintains vehicles according to company standards.

Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications
Experience/Qualifications:
- A minimum of six (6) months experience working rotational shift work, working in inclement weather, and/or manual labor experience preferred

High school education or equivalent preferred

Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record and ability to pass MVR

Good communication skills

Able to multi-task in fast paced environment

Basic problem solving and organizational skills

Ability to communicate, read & write in English

Receipt of proof of eligibility to work in the United States, as required by law

Ability to clear/pass pre-employment screening, testing and job-relevant hiring requirements
