Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CAD Drafter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and schematics using various CAD software. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical design principles and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and project managers to ensure accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
Duties
- Develop and prepare detailed drawings, schematics, and models using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, and Civil 3D.
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Draft mechanical designs and layouts for various projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Utilize NavisWorks for project visualization and coordination among different disciplines.
- Create 3D models and renderings using Sketchup for presentations and design reviews.
- Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company standards before final submission.
- Maintain organized records of all drafts, revisions, and related documentation.
Requirements
- Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, NavisWorks, SolidWorks, Sketchup, and Civil 3D is essential.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and drafting standards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members across various departments.
- Previous experience in drafting or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- A degree or certification in drafting, engineering technology, or a related field is a plus.
