GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB :
The Accounting Analyst performs professional financial reporting, analysis and / or accounting work supporting U.S. Statutory-basis Financial Reporting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Prepares and files quarterly and annual statutory-basis financial statements, MD&A and related exhibits. The incumbent is also responsible for performing the U.S. statutory-basis accounting for certain balances, including review of supporting analysis and preparing or reviewing journal entries.

EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE :
Bachelor's degree from a four-year credited college or university in accounting, finance or related field of study; plus three (3) years of progressively responsible related experience; or equivalent combination of education and / or experience. Insurance or annuity experience a plus.
