Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Part of an on-call rotation.
- Supports and assists Developers with SSIS packages.
- Writes and maintains documentation on databases and processes.
- Builds DBMS instances and creates databases.
- Troubleshoots system issues.
- Performs and tests DBMS Server upgrades.
- Installs DBMS Server patch releases.
- Develops conversion scripts between database platforms.
- Manages, monitors and maintains company databases.
- Performance tunes queries and tables.
- Monitors database backups and implements database security.
- Develops and optimizes physical design of database systems.
- Manages users and user group access to objects in Informatica repositories.
- Automates administrative tasks.
- Provides status reports on all completed, on-going and future projects in order to keep management updated on progress.
- Assists Developers with DBMS code issues as needed.
- Continue to develop and maintain systems used for database monitoring and alerting.
- Performs other related work as assigned.

Education And/Or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or other related field of study or two (2) years of progressively responsible related experience; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Experience performance tuning and optimization a plus.
- Experience working with AWS a plus.
- Experience with SQL.
- Server experience is a plus.
- Experience working in Insurance industry a plus.
Microsoft Certified Database Administrator a plus
AWS Certifications a plus
