Key Responsibilities
- Shipment Coordination
- Oversee daily shipment schedules, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Coordinate with warehouses, suppliers, and carriers to schedule shipments and track them to completion.
- Verify order accuracy, inspect shipments for quality and accuracy, and ensure that all documentation is complete and compliant with regulations.
- Inventory and Warehouse Coordination
- Monitor stock levels in collaboration with the warehouse team to maintain accurate inventory.
- Work with warehouse personnel to ensure efficient packing, labeling, and inventory management.
- Identify potential inventory shortages and communicate with procurement to maintain stock levels.
- Carrier and Vendor Communication
- Manage relationships with shipping carriers and vendors, coordinating shipment pickups and deliveries.
- Communicate shipping details, requirements, and updates with carriers to prevent delays or errors.
- Troubleshoot carrier-related issues, including late deliveries, damaged goods, and rate discrepancies.
- Documentation and Compliance
- Prepare shipping documentation, such as bills of lading, packing lists, and invoices.
- Ensure compliance with domestic and international shipping regulations, including customs documentation for cross-border shipments.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date records for tracking shipments and auditing purposes.
- Cost Control and Optimization
- Monitor shipping costs and look for ways to optimize routes, negotiate better rates, or streamline shipping practices to reduce expenses.
- Compare carrier quotes and determine the most cost-effective options based on shipment volume, delivery timelines, and client requirements.
- Reporting and Analysis
- Track and report on logistics metrics, such as on-time delivery rates, shipping costs, and error rates.
- Use data to identify trends, resolve bottlenecks, and suggest improvements in the shipping process.
- Experience: 2 years of experience in logistics, shipping, or supply chain management.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field (preferred).
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with logistics software (e.g., ShipStation, SAP, ERP systems) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently under deadlines.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of collaborating with internal teams and external vendors.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Proven ability to resolve logistical issues and maintain high customer satisfaction.
- Knowledge of international shipping regulations and customs requirements.
- Experience with ERP systems or logistics software.
- Previous experience in eCommerce or DTC environments.
