SUMMARY: The Warehouse Lead is a key position within the logistics and supply chain management of a company. The Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of a warehouse facility. The Warehouse Lead plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods and maintaining inventory accuracy and will be responsible for performing an array of duties such as receiving and processing incoming stock and materials; managing, organizing, and retrieving stock; and accurately filling customer orders.
REPORTS TO: Site Operations Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee and provide guidance to warehouse staff
- Maintain accurate inventory records
- Promote and maintain a safe working environment
- Receive, inspect, and stock shipments from carriers
- Unpack and check shipments received against inbound alerts
- Fill customer orders quickly, promptly, accurately
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures from clients
- Handle outbound shipments to be shipped by local courier or overnight carriers
- Enter data into computer system
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of warehouse operations experience
- Previous leadership experience preferred
- Must have forklift and pallet jack experience
- Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in a warehouse setting
- Must be dependable and be flexible with hours
