The U.S. Consumer Services Team is responsible for our suite of consumer products, services, and experiences in the U.S., including our premium, cobrand, cash back, and lending portfolios, Membership Rewards, Global Travel & Lifestyle Services, the Centurion Lounge network, our Global Dining and Resy businesses, U.S. Consumer Banking, and best-in-class marketing programs across customer, prospect, and partner channels. The USCS team is focused on making membership an indisputable competitive advantage and helping each other become better leaders every day.


The U.S. Consumer Marketing team (USCM) is part of the US Consumer Services Group and is responsible for making membership essential by creating and delivering outstanding marketing for our differentiated products and services that drives demand and inspires engaged card members across the customer lifecycle.


The Digital Demand Generation team, within USCM, is responsible for delivering best-in-class digital marketing experiences through offsite marketing channels, distribution partnerships, and proprietary platforms. The Senior Manager of Content Marketing will play a critical role in driving forward the future strategy and delivery of our content strategy on Credit Intel, American Express’ financial education hub.  She/he will set the agenda for Credit Intel, spearheading the plan for evolving and expanding the program with the goal of driving demand, site traffic and new card and non-card acquisition, and the delivery of this strategy. This Senior Manager will lead the creation and launch of net new content, develop a site user experience roadmap to re-define the platform customer journeys, and create a distribution and promotion content strategy. We are looking for a strategic, innovative thinker, who can play a leading role in re-defining the future of this channel.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Create and iterate upon the overall Credit Intel content strategy, including vision/mission, site optimization, distribution and promotion of content
  • Develop and maintain the annual content calendar
  • Identify new content opportunities, partners, tactics, and creative formats to drive continued program growth
  • Partner closely with external agency partners and cross-functional internal partners to create, launch and optimize content and site enhancements based on performance
  • Analyze performance data to inform optimizations and go-forward marketing plans
  • Champion acquisition content best practices across the enterprise
  • Oversee reporting and results commentary, including budget maintenance
  • Manage multiple external/agency partner relationships
  • Lead a team of two high-performing analysts

Preferred Qualifications: 


  • 5 years of digital marketing and/or content marketing experience
  • Ability to think strategically and comfortable navigating through white space
  • Exceptional partner management experience and ability to build strong relationships, seamlessly collaborate and influence cross functional business partners
  • Self-starter with an ability to navigate the organization and processes independently
  • Passion for innovation and willingness to challenge the status quo
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate complex information to a variety of audiences, including internal and external partners.
  • Excellent organization and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage numerous stakeholders against set timelines and deadlines
  • Energetic, positive, self-motivated and proactive
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Experience in a highly regulated industry a plus
  • Prior people leadership experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually bonus benefits
