The Nathan Eddy Agency of American Family Insurance is looking for a positive, motivated individual to join their championship team as a full time Customer Retention Specialist in Joplin, MO.

Primary Job Functions & Activities:

Service Related- This role will be primarily accountable for customer retention including questions or concerns about:

  • Rate Changes
  • Claims issues
  • Assist with income phone calls
  • Help with billing issues and policy transactions
  • Other items to deliver outstanding customer experience
  • Sales Related: The Primary role of the Retention Specialist is to maintain our current customers.

Here are a few of those activities: Cross-sell while assisting current customers:

  • Life insurance
  • Follow up with customers after sales to complete the sales process
  • Maintain product knowledge for all lines of business and products written
  • Career Paths: There are two potential career paths associated with this position if the performance of the applicant merited progression over time:
  • Department Manager: This person would help build a service team and be responsible for team goals.
  • Future Agency Owner: If you know that you would like to run your own business with your own team but don’t believe you currently have the skills or capital this is a great path. This candidate would seek their own agency (outside of Joplin) after a 3 to 4 year mentorship program.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Starting pay is $14/hour
  • 401k matching

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Weekend events 1 to 2 times per year

Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour
