Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Server Admin to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing our server infrastructure to ensure maximum uptime, performance, and security. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintenance and upkeep of our company's data center environment, including server hardware, virtual environments, Windows environments, and server applications.
- Oversee the management of Active Directory, Office365 environment, Azure environment, Mobile Device Management (MDM) platform, and Hosted VoIP platform.
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of server hardware and software.
- Monitor server performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Implement and maintain server security measures, including firewalls, antivirus software, and access controls.
- Coordinate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of server infrastructure with other systems and applications.
- Develop and maintain documentation for server configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve server management processes.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other IT staff and end-users as needed.
- Plan and execute server upgrades, migrations, and other infrastructure projects.
- This position requires availability for rare emergency situations.
- An associate’s degree in a related field, four years of experience managing a server environment, or relevant certifications.
- Proficient in cloud computing platforms, including Azure Office 365 and AWS environments.
- Experienced with Exchange or Office 365 email services.
- Skilled in managing VMware vCenter environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong knowledge of server operating systems, including Windows Server and Linux is a plus.
- This role involves lifting 50lbs, bending, walking, climbing stairs, and standing for scheduled shifts.
