Hybrid Auto Insurance Claims Manager - NonStandard Auto (Office/Remote)

This position is Hybrid and the office is based in Mount Prospect, IL.

What You'll Be Doing

As our Claim Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the success of our claims department, focusing on efficiency, cost control, and exceptional service.

• Lead and Empower Your Team: Manage and motivate claims staff to handle workflow, workload, and service levels efficiently.
• Optimize Processes: Develop strategies to reduce loss costs and enhance claim settlements.
• Drive Performance: Set and measure performance indicators, ensuring team accountability and success.
• Regulatory Excellence: Manage Department of Insurance regulatory compliance and reduce complaints.
• Hands-On Claims Management: Oversee, evaluate, and authorize claims, keeping high-priority cases closely monitored.
• Guidance and Training: Coach adjusters to meet or exceed service objectives and regulatory standards.
• Negotiation and Resolution: Use your expertise to negotiate claims, achieve favorable outcomes, and minimize expenses.
• Build Relationships: Foster a collaborative environment within the Claim Department, working closely with staff, supervisors, and managers.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve processes and ensure operational excellence.
  
  

What We're Looking For

We’re seeking a strategic and proactive leader with a keen eye for detail and a passion for people and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
• Nonstandard auto insurance experience a plus
• Strong customer service skills and expertise in fast-track claim processing
• Skilled at negotiating with attorneys and pro se litigants
• Knowledge of claims practices in Illinois, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, or Texas is a plus
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficient with technology and adept at coverage and liability analysis
• High level of responsibility, problem-solving skills, and organizational ability
• Bilingual Spanish preferred
