Heritage Senior Living/MSP Real Estate is seeking a Human Resources Assistant. The Human Resources Assistant will work closely, providing administrative support to the human resources department. At Heritage Senior Living/MSP Real Estate our mission, values, and vision guide us in creating the culture of our organization and providing high-quality senior homes across Wisconsin. Our ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills and will be detail orientated. This is an in-office position, based out of our support office in West Allis, and will require the ability to travel, up to 25%, to all our communities within our portfolio.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Include, but not limited to):
Fosters supportive and strong working relationships with the human resources department and leadership teams within our communities and properties
Assists with daily HR administrative-related functions
Prepares, maintains, updates, and audits HR-related records
Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes; process hiring-related paperwork
Prepare and maintain employment records and statistics using human resources information system software; audit, maintain, and update HR-related documents
Educate and uphold company policies and procedures; ensure HR compliance with all local, state and federal laws and regulations
Assists with managing leaves of absences, employment verifications, unemployment claims, and other various HR-related processes
Complete additional job duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
Associate degree in human resources preferred
1+ years experience in human resources; healthcare experience preferred
Knowledge of employment and labor laws
Ability to travel up to 25%; required
Excellent oral and written communications skills; required
Must possess good judgement, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Must be able to work with minimal supervision, organize and manage time well
Ability to maintain highly confidential company and employee information
Proficient in the use of various MS Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
