Key Responsibilities
Dining Room Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the dining room, ensuring a pleasant, clean, and welcoming environment.
- Supervise and train waitstaff on excellent customer service and hospitality standards.
Staff Scheduling & Supervision
- Assist in creating and maintaining staffing schedules.
- Step in to fill scheduling gaps to minimize overtime or excessive labor costs.
- Directly supervise, coach, and develop team members, including hiring, performance evaluations, and resolution of any staff concerns.
Exceptional Customer Service
- Greet and seat residents, present daily menus and specials, and answer questions about food and services.
- Maintain top-quality service and cleanliness, from crisp linen tablecloths to fresh, made-to-order meals.
Compliance & Safety
- Adhere to all organization policies and industry regulations, including ServSafe guidelines.
- Ensure background checks, fingerprinting, and drug testing are successfully completed for team members.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in hospitality, senior living, or club dining room settings (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Certification: Current ServSafe certification required.
- Availability: Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays; scheduled for 80 hours biweekly.
- Compassion: Genuine desire to work with and serve the elderly population.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and leadership abilities to support and motivate staff.
- Transportation: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
