ABOUT THE ROLE :
The Dining Room Supervisor is responsible for being the primary Food & Beverage contact until management arrives. Verifies schedules, checks deliveries, and carries Food & Beverage cell phone. Provides coverage for any area / server station in the absence of scheduled dining room staff.
Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Dining Room Supervisor :
- In the absence of the Dining Room Manager, supervises the physical appearance of the dining room area and server stations including table pedestals, table place settings, chairs, floors, drapes, and lighting.
- Coordinates the seating of the residents and guests in an efficient, courteous manner.
- Schedules stations and work assignments for the wait staff and check out servers to make sure standards are met.
- Records meal counts, reservations, and additional charges. Complete knowledge of point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Confers with Dining Room Manager regarding dining room status.
- Confers with Executive Chef and Director of Food & Beverage regarding any food, staffing or service issues.
- Makes morning rounds of Market, Dietary and Kitchen to check staff levels.
- Provides coffee services for Residents' events and Administration.
