Essential Responsibilities/Duties
- Assists in general laboratory maintenance tasks.
- Prepares samples for send out locations for processing.
- Ensures all areas are stocked with required materials and PPE.
- Prepares workstations for sample receipt.
- Complies with lab safety protocols and guidelines.
- Manages the storage of supplies in the lab to meet minimum daily requirements.
- Maintain a safe, clean, organized work area throughout the facility and work area. Other duties assigned.
- Preparing laboratory equipment & workstations with required materials for testing
- Maintaining and cleaning laboratory equipment and instruments, including decontamination procedures as necessary
- Maintaining inventory of lab supplies and ordering new supplies when needed
- Ensuring adherence to laboratory safety protocols and standards, including the disposal of hazardous waste
- Comply with department SOP's and safety procedures.
- Interact with other operating departments to expedite the flow of work and information.
- Assist technologists with storage of completed work.
Education -
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Competencies/Skills -
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentially of all medical, financial, and legal information.
- Ability to work independently.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Experience -
- 0-6 months experience working in a laboratory environment.
- Experience working with MS Office Suite, required.
- Certifications/Licenses -
