Job Description
American International College is dedicated to providing a supportive and dynamic environment for both our employees and students. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Coordinator to join our team.
Responsibilities
Manage and Process Payrolls
- Oversee and process the College's two payrolls: Salaried & Hourly/Bi-weekly, and Student/Bi-weekly using the College's payroll service, ADP.
- Coordinate payroll funding with the bank to ensure timely processing.
- Process manual checks as required.
- Manage ADP payroll information and generate reports.
- Review resulting reports for accuracy, ensuring appropriate controls are in place and identifying any discrepancies or problems.
- Coordinate quarterly and annual tax filings with ADP and ensure compliance.
- Input payroll data received from HR and ensure all data is accurate and complete.
- Maintain controls and checklists to ensure data completeness and accuracy.
- Track and process 403(b) plan information for two retirement plans.
- Coordinate the flow of data and remittances with TIAA-CREF for retirement plans.
- Provide data for annual plan audits and ensure all required filings are completed.
- Train new employees and supervisors on the ADP system, including time reporting, approval processes, and benefits information.
- Follow up with supervisors to address late or missing data submissions.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in payroll processing.
- Proficiency in using ADP payroll systems.
- Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
