What are the responsibilities and job description for the Research Assistant position at American Investment Council (AIC)?
The Research Assistant at the American Investment Council (AIC) will assist with the management of qualitative and quantitative information and assist the Senior Vice President of Research to conduct analysis for the organization. The Research Assistant will take ownership of research projects and recurring reports analyzing trends in the private equity industry. This research will support the broader mandates of the Government Affairs and Public Affairs teams. Additionally, the Research Assistant will assist the membership team by providing research to support the recruitment and retention of AIC members. The position requires a self-starter with equally strong analytical skills and people skills, who can work well in a small team and cordial office environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop work product for internal use and public distribution, interpreting qualitative and quantitative trends in the private equity industry demonstrated by its business activities.
- Gain proficiency with third-party data sources to access information required to complete research projects.
- Manage very large and disparate datasets while maintaining data integrity and accuracy. Data management includes aggregation of information from spreadsheets, supplementing with additional qualitative research, data integrity testing, troubleshooting and analysis.
- Maintain the confidentiality of all highly sensitive data.
- Assist the SVP of Research in the production of reports, studies, and analyses.
