We are seeking a seasoned Azure Cloud Engineer/Architect to design, implement, and optimize cloud-native, resilient, and scalable solutions for our enterprise client. As an Azure Cloud Architect, you will partner with Architecture, Development, DevOps, and Cybersecurity teams to lead the adoption of best practices in cloud architecture, application security, and agile engineering. This role requires deep technical expertise, strategic leadership, and the ability to collaborate across teams to ensure secure, high-performing, and cost-effective Azure solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Architecture:

• Design and deliver robust Azure-hosted solutions tailored to meet complex business and technical requirements.
• Develop highly available, scalable, and secure cloud environments that ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Serve as the Azure Cloud Champion, promoting best practices and innovation within the Application Development and DevOps teams.

Security & Compliance:

• Collaborate with application architects, DevSecOps, and Cybersecurity teams to align designs with security best practices and compliance requirements.
• Review security questionnaires and ensure solutions adhere to industry standards and organizational policies.
• Drive the implementation of secure coding practices and DevSecOps principles.

Collaboration & Leadership:

• Advocate for Agile engineering practices, quality assurance, and advanced requirement-capturing techniques to enhance delivery outcomes.
• Provide expert guidance to DevOps and development teams, ensuring seamless integration and deployment of cloud solutions.
• Organize and coordinate infrastructure architecture reviews and other collaborative sessions.
• Mentor junior team members, fostering technical growth and knowledge sharing.
• Act as a liaison between internal teams and cloud service vendors to ensure optimal service delivery.

Cloud Management & Optimization:

• Monitor cloud systems to ensure performance benchmarks, security standards, and cost-effectiveness are achieved.
• Implement and optimize automation tools to manage cloud resources efficiently.
• Design and maintain disaster recovery strategies, ensuring the high availability of critical cloud resources.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain up-to-date documentation of cloud architectures, processes, and best practices.
• Provide regular performance and cost trend reports to stakeholders to drive data-informed decision-making.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience designing, developing, and deploying cloud architectures.
• Expertise in the Microsoft Azure platform, including key PaaS offerings such as AKS, Azure SQL, APIM, Azure Service Bus, and more.
• Strong proficiency in cloud-native technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices architecture.
• In-depth knowledge of networking, security, and database managementwithin a cloud environment.
• Hands-on experience with source code management concepts(e.g., branching, merging, integration, versioning).
• Proven ability to produce Proofs of Concept (PoCs)to support development and DevOps initiatives.
• Skilled in applying SDLC principles (plan, code, build, test, release, deploy, monitor) to automate cloud architecture tasks in Agile environments.

Preferred Skills:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architectcertification or equivalent.
• Experience designing and implementing DevOps practicesand building CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Familiarity with advanced Azure services such as Azure Front Door, Azure Key Vault, Azure App Insights, and Microsoft Bicepfor infrastructure-as-code.
