What are the responsibilities and job description for the Property Accountant position at American Landmark Management, LLC?
ALVM is one of the fastest growing multifamily owner-operators in the United States. Based in Tampa, FL, ALVM owns and operates multifamily communities in Arizona, Nevada and Texas.
You will conduct full cycle accounting functions for a portfolio of multifamily properties, working closely with property and regional managers on all financial matters. In addition, you are to provide accurate and timely financial information to internal departments and external auditors, investors and lenders.
Your “Day to Day” at American Landmark Value Management:
- Maintain GAAP financials for 12-15 multifamily properties
- Prepare and maintain monthly workpapers including balance sheet account reconciliations
- Analyze and review property operating statements and balance sheets including month end accruals and reclasses
- Reconcile monthly bank statements
- Prepare monthly investor reporting packages
- Record monthly depreciation and amortization
- Update quarterly audit workpapers and prepare reporting packages for quarterly audit including SOX backup requirements
- Prepare quarterly and/or monthly lender reporting
- Prepare replacement reserve packages for lenders
- Generate year end workpapers and coordinate with external auditors on the year end audits
- Assist in the annual budget process
- Perform special projects as needed and provide support to the accounting and property management teams
Qualifying Accomplishments:
- College Degree
- Bachelors in Accounting
- CPA not required but preferred
- 2-3 years of property accounting experience
- Technical or Administrative Knowledge
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong Excel skills
- Realpage/Onesite experience a plus
- Special Skills and/or Abilities:
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines is essential
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral, as well as interpersonal skills
What American Landmark Offers You:
- $65,000 - $75,000 / year dependent upon experience, plus the potential for a 10% annual bonus paid quarterly
