We handle the day-to-day work so that client school boards can focus on governance and policy issues to be sure that the vision and mission of the school are being carried out properly.
American Leadership Academy is now accepting applications for a PM Health Services Program Teacher for the 2025-2026 academic school year at our Applied Technologies campus. Candidates must possess a valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance card.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Design and implement a comprehensive curriculum that covers essential topics in health services, including health promotion, disease prevention, healthcare systems, and patient care.
- Deliver engaging lectures, hands-on training sessions, and interactive discussions to facilitate student learning and participation.
- Evaluate student performance through practical assessments, written exams, and projects, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
- Create and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning, encouraging collaboration and respect among students.
- Guide and mentor students in their professional development, helping them prepare for careers in health services and related fields.
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements in health services education and practice.
- Work with faculty and administration to enhance the health services program, contributing to curriculum review and improvement initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Strong understanding of teaching methodologies and educational theories relevant to health services education.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective instruction and interaction with students and colleagues.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, fostering a supportive and collaborative classroom environment.
- Strong organizational abilities to manage classroom activities, lesson plans, and student assessments effectively.
- Capacity to guide and mentor students, helping them develop both their technical skills and professional behaviors.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance card
- Relevant teaching certification or licensure as required by state regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of teaching experience, particularly in health services education or a clinical setting.
- Additional certifications in health education, public health, or specific healthcare practices.
