What are the responsibilities and job description for the Title 1 Paraprofessional position at American Leadership Academy?
American Leadership Academy is now accepting applications for a Title I Paraprofessional for the 2024-2025 school year. Candidates must be certified, highly qualified, and possess an Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card.
Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
- Provides high quality intervention needed to move students to grade level proficiency
- Oversees and guides paraprofessionals in developing high quality instruction
- Based upon student performance data, assists teams in locating intervention resources and ensures implementation of agreed upon intervention plans
- Monitors the grades, testing data, 45 day screener actions, intervention placement, intervention actions, SST/MTSS placement, and other critical data for students that are identified in the following sub-groups: 504, ELL, Bottom 30%, IEP, SPED
- Utilizes tracking system to maintain lists of students participating in interventions.
- Recommends interventions for teachers and paraprofessionals and oversees actions plans based on student performance data
- Supports teachers in the use and interpretation of screening, diagnostic, and progress monitoring assessments to improve student achievement in reteach and application lab classes
- Provides math or literacy interventions as necessary for identified students
- Maintains records of interventions and progress monitoring to ensure process fidelity
- Assists in developing intervention plans for identified students within the MTSS process
- Supports the school’s MTSS committee and ensure all necessary documentation is completed pertaining to evidenced-based interventions
- Assists with district benchmark assessments using the schedule set by campus administration
- Participates in any test coordinator pre-test trainings, and assist the campus Assistant Director with any state testing procedures or protocol
- Analyzes and provides previous year state assessment data to all teachers, and uses this data to make informed program decisions for the new school year
- Participates in planning and implementing on-going staff development
- Attends required coaching trainings and professional development
- Attends PLC/SST Team, Campus and District meetings/trainings as directed
- Creates a Move on When Reading literacy plan as required by ADE
- Submits DIBELS benchmark data to ADE three time annually as outlined by Move On When Reading literacy data requirements
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
- Valid AZ Teaching Certificate with Reading Endorsement
- Valid AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field
Preferred Requirements
- 3-5 years’ experience as a Reading Specialist
