SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Quality Department and collaborating closely with the Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain members, the Quality Control Inspector is responsible for continuously working with all departments to capture quality information for documentation and data analysis. The Quality Control Inspector also inspects finished products, products being processed, incoming materials, parts, and assemblies.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensuring quality information is captured in the respective areas for documentation and data analysis.
- Conducts internal and external quality audits.
- Conducts weekly audits in production, incoming parts from vendors, receiving, and other areas of the manufacturing process to ensure quality standards and deliverables are adhered to.
- Identifies internal and external non-conformities by monitoring trends through data analysis.
- Collaborates with department members and/or external parties to lead corrective actions and preventive measures in regard to quality.
- Verifies that corrective actions have been taken related to internal and external quality issues.
- Verifies that necessary processes, systems, and training are in place to support organizational quality standards.
- Assisting the organization with quality assurance support as needed
- Inspecting incoming parts from suppliers to ensure material requirements to specifications.
- Maintains an organized system for quality records.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- 2 years of work experience in a production/manufacturing environment with emphasis on Quality.
Essential Job Functions:
- Operates computer and keyboard; walks the production floor periodically.
- Reaches above/below shoulders and lifts to file documents or store materials (proper techniques required).
- May lift up to 50 lbs (manufacturing components, files, printouts).
- Occasional exposure to manufacturing areas requiring PPE (safety glasses, hearing protection in certain areas).
- Primary environment: ambient office conditions.
