Job Description

Job Title : Quality Inspector

Location : Ennis, TX, 75119

Job Type : Contingent Worker (W-2)

Qualifications : Required :

High school diploma or GED.
3 years of experience in quality inspection or a quality lab position.
Strong mathematical skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a willingness to undergo additional training as needed.
Must pass a competency test before interviewing.
Ability to pass a color blindness test (inspection for shingle color correctness).
Physical ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly, work 12-hour shifts, and climb ladders safely.

Preferred :

Knowledge of OSHA standards and local government safety regulations.

Familiarity with packaging and quality inspection processes in manufacturing.

Responsibilities :

Perform quality tests to verify conformance of finished products; halt production if standards are not met.

Conduct routine audits and ensure adherence to written procedures and mandated testing frequencies.

Maintain 5S standards for work areas, tools, and materials.

Collaborate with production personnel to resolve quality issues and ensure compliance with manufacturing standards.

Inspect product color accuracy, measure shingles, and accurately record data in designated systems.

Read, interpret, and follow SOPs, technical labels, and instructions.

Provide support by filling in for absent team members when required.

Adhere to company safety policies and uphold SGC Principles of Conduct and Action guidelines.

Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.

Modified Pitman Schedule :

Week 1 : Two consecutive workdays, two days off, three consecutive workdays, and two days off.

Week 2 : Two consecutive workdays, three days off, two consecutive workdays, and two days off.

Day shift hours : 6 : 45 AM 7 : 00 PM .
