We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to process transactions for our transportation division in our corporate office in Downtown Bryan. A successful candidate will be detail-oriented, highly motivated, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
Duties:
Accounts Receivable:
- Monitor the status of each load in the dispatching software (Aljex), prepare AR invoices for all completed loads, and email the invoice and required backup documentation to the customer for payment.
- Routinely export data from the dispatching software to the accounting system and verify the systems are reconciled.
- Monitor customer account balances and communicate any account issues to management.
- Monitor Lane One’s AR email account and respond to inquiries as needed.
- Ensure timely processing of loads with accompanied documentation of fulfillment.
Other Duties:
- Provide backup coverage for other accounts receivable and/or accounts payable staff during absences.
- Assist in month-end and year-end activities.
- Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; a degree in accounting is preferred.
- 3 years of administrative and/or data entry experience
- Excellent data entry skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
- Strong ability in Microsoft Word and Excel are required; NetSuite ERP software is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
