We are seeking a full-time Logistics Associate to support our logistics team with the daily task of tracking and tracing loads. The associate will play a crucial role in ensuring on-time pickups and deliveries by regularly contacting carriers, developing strong working relationships, and addressing any issues that arise. This is an entry-level position with the opportunity for growth within the company through hands-on training, and positive work ethic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Make daily calls and send emails to carriers to confirm they are on track for timely pickups and deliveries.
- Communicate any issues or delays to Logistics Coordinators for immediate resolution.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers through consistent, professional communication.
- Ensure carriers meet tracking and communication requirements.
- Notify supervisors of carriers exhibiting poor communication or habitual delays.
- Shadow Logistics Coordinators to gain experience in dispatching and prepare for career advancement.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (bachelor’s degree in logistics or a related field is a plus).
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain organization in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable with frequent phone and email communication.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office and logistics/tracking software.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Previous experience in logistics, customer service, or transportation (preferred but not required).
- Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to build relationships with carriers and team members.
