Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Martial Arts Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in martial arts, particularly in disciplines such as Karate. This role involves educating students of various ages and skill levels, fostering a positive learning environment, and promoting physical fitness through martial arts training. The instructor will play a crucial role in developing students' skills while ensuring their safety and well-being during classes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct engaging martial arts classes for children and adults, focusing on skill development and personal growth.
- Teach various techniques in Karate, and other martial arts disciplines.
- Implement behavior management strategies to maintain a positive classroom environment.
- Educate students on the importance of discipline, respect, self control and physical fitness.
- Provide individualized attention to students to help them achieve their personal goals.
- Organize and lead practice sessions, drills, and sparring exercises.
- Ensure the safety of all participants by enforcing safety guidelines during training sessions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the training area.
- Collaborate with other instructors to develop curriculum and improve class offerings.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in martial arts instruction, with proficiency in Karate preferred.
- Background in childcare or youth education is highly desirable.
- Strong behavior management skills to effectively engage with students of all ages.
- Experience in gymnastics can be beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills to educate and motivate students effectively.
- A passion for fitness and teaching with a commitment to student development.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as needed.
