Responsibilities of the Unit Manager:
- Conducting resident assessments upon admission and discharge.
- Monitoring resident health status and making necessary adjustments to care plans.
- Evaluating staff performance and providing feedback.
- Addressing staff concerns and resolving conflicts.
- Implement and interpret organizational policies and procedures, and nursing standards and regulations.
- Auditing resident care documentation and practices and overseeing unit budget and resource allocation.
- Communicating effectively with residents, families, physicians, other healthcare professionals, and nursing home administration.
